Invest in Compute Hardware
The minimum buy-in is one compute node. If you are interested in purchasing nodes with special configurations (e.g. very large memory, different CPUs, GPUs, etc.), contact us for pricing. We also offer additional storage on our high-speed filesystem.
All equipment and infrastructure costs are approved to be charged to grants. Infrastructure fees are fees that cover the fair share portion of shared system components. Those fees vary by system type/configuration and are currently paid for by the Illinois Computes program.
You can also submit allocations via the Illinois Computes program to get access to FREE compute and storage services.
NOTE: Pricing below current as of 11/6/2024 and is the full cost for each node.

GPU Nodes
GPU-dense compute nodes are well-suited for AI/machine learning. Up to 8 GPUs maximum per 2U/4U/6U server. Additional memory configurations available upon request.
Researchers can also get FREE access to GPUs in the ICCP via the Illinois Computes program. The Illinois Computes queue on ICCP has 4 – Dual AMD 7763, 512GB RAM, 4x A100 nodes available for use at no cost to Illinois researchers.

Illinois Computes
The Illinois Campus Cluster Program is currently recommending users interested in the RCaaS service to submit an allocation request to the Illinois Computes program.
One of the available resources in the Illinois Computes program is an IllinoisComputes queue in the ICCP which has standard compute (16 – Dual AMD 7713, 512GB RAM nodes) and GPU nodes (4 – Dual AMD 7763, 512GB RAM, 4x A100 nodes) available for use at no cost to Illinois researchers.
An Illinois Computes allocation is great because researchers are able to get access to free compute on newer nodes than the ICCP RCaaS nodes. The Illinois Computes program also has GPU resources available. The ICCP RCaaS pool does not have any GPU resources.
